Hi, I’m David O’Connor — here’s what I’m trying to do with this site, and why.
A quick, honest note on the name
“David O’Connor” is a pen name. I write under it for personal privacy, not to hide anything about the content itself — everything on this site is written and fact-checked by one person (me), based on publicly available program documentation, official help pages, and my own experience trying several of these methods. I’d rather be judged on whether the guides are accurate and useful than on my real name.
Why I built this
Search “make money online” and you mostly get two things: content designed to sell you a $497 course, or vague listicles that never actually explain how to do anything. Almost none of it is honest about how long these things take, what they actually pay, or what will get an account banned. I got tired of that gap, so I started writing the guide I wished existed — one method per page, explained in plain language, with realistic numbers instead of screenshots of someone’s best month ever.
What this site is
Every method covered here uses a real, widely available platform or a sellable skill — display advertising, video platforms, app stores, paid search marketing, organic search (SEO), paid surveys, business software reselling, local business listings, and shopping ads. I try to explain the jargon as I go, walk through the process start to finish, and be upfront about which methods are realistic side income and which can genuinely help you generate a real income — and how long that actually takes.
What this site is not
It’s not financial advice, and it’s not an official resource for any company or platform mentioned in these guides. Google, YouTube, and other product and company names appear here purely to describe, factually, how each platform works — I am not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Google LLC, YouTube LLC, or any other company named on this site. All trademarks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners. Program rules, eligibility requirements, and payout structures are set entirely by each platform and change over time, so I link to official pages throughout and encourage you to confirm current details there before investing real time or money. This site displays advertising (via Google AdSense) to cover hosting costs, and some links may be affiliate links — I’ll always try to disclose that clearly where it applies.
How I research and fact-check these guides
Every guide starts from the official documentation for that platform — the actual help center pages, eligibility requirements, and policy pages linked in each guide’s “Sources & further reading” section — not from other blogs repeating each other. Where I’ve used a method myself (this site itself runs on AdSense and accepts Stripe donations, for example), I say so directly rather than implying secondhand knowledge is firsthand experience. Every guide shows a “last verified” date at the top; when a platform changes a requirement or payout structure, I update the guide and move that date forward rather than leaving stale numbers up.
